Bates Isabell Dressage Saddle

  Recent member of the Gold medallist team at Tokyo and most decorated female dressage rider Dressage Champion Isabell Werth Developed this saddle many years ago and has ridden in it ever since. Results that speak for themselves this saddle is designed with the female dressage rider in mind. Isabell went into consultation with Bates to provide a dressage saddle that would  support both horse and rider as a team. The difference the Isabell Dressage saddle makes is quite profound, as radical features take the effort out of sitting in the correct position. 

The deep seat in the Bates Isabell dressage saddle is unique; positioning the rider in a central and balanced position that ensures correct alignment is effortless. The saddle offers tremendous support for the dressage rider with its deep comfortable seat with the female body in mind. Less rubbing and more comfort for the female dressage rider with an Adjustable Ergonomic Stirrup Bar positioning the rider in the most comfortable and yet effective position.

The Bates Dressage range now allows Placement of Stirrup Bars. This is crucial, because it's the main reason why some riders fail to achieve shoulder, hip, and heel alignment, as well as a quiet lower leg. They just cannot do so on many saddles as the  stirrup bar is too far forwards forcing the rider into a chair seat as a result. With these saddles, the rider must bring the lower leg back to achieve shoulder, hip, and heel alignment, but the stirrup no longer hangs vertically and instead slopes backwards. The rider then starts to trot, swinging his leg back and forth with each rise and fall in an attempt to stand on an unaligned stirrup. Bates  dressage saddles offer 3 positions to choose from with their adjustable stirrup bars making it simple to sit in alignment If you intend to pursue dressage at any level, make sure the saddle you purchase has a stirrup bar position that allows you to have a vertical stirrup leather while you are in the proper shoulder/hip/heel position.
